Job Description

  • Breeding Programs: Design and manage breeding cycles from cross-pollination and germplasm evaluation to seed increase.
  • Field & Lab Testing: Establish and monitor field trials under diverse environmental conditions.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze phenotypic and genotypic data using statistical software (e.g., R, SAS) to select the best breeding lines.
  • Advanced Genetics: Apply modern techniques like molecular markers, marker-assisted selection (MAS), and doubled haploids.
  • Collaboration: Partner with agronomists, pathologists, and commercial teams to align breeding targets with market needs.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain pedigree records, publish research papers, and ensure compliance with phytosanitary and variety release regulations.
